Installing Crazy Egg on Shopify allows you to unlock powerful insights with Heatmaps, Session Recordings, and A/B Testing. With just a few simple steps, you can start visualizing how customers interact with your store, identify drop-off points, and improve your Shopify conversion rates.

Step by Step Instructions

Log in to your Shopify account.

Visit apps.shopify.com/crazy-egg.

Click on Add App.

You’ll be redirected to the Shopify installation screen. Review the setup information, and click Install app.

Click Connect existing account.

Enter your Crazy Egg username and password.

Go to Themes under Online Store.

Click Customize.

Select Theme Settings in the bottom left corner.

Select App Embeds.

Search for Crazy Egg (if needed).

Enable the Embedded App.

Click Save in the top right corner.

Click on Next once you have integrated Crazy Egg with Shopify.

Troubleshooting

Go to Themes under Online Store.

Click Customize.

Select Theme Settings in the bottom left corner.

Select App Embeds.

Search for Crazy Egg (if needed).

Enable the Embedded App.

Install Crazy Egg on your store using Google Tag Manager. For security reasons, Shopify has restricted what can run in the checkout area. They have introduced the Checkout Extensibility.  Crazy Egg does not currently work directly with this tool. Currently, Crazy Egg can only track the pages before the checkout.
