How to Import Google Analytics Data into Crazy Egg

Connecting Google Analytics to Crazy Egg takes just a few minutes. Once connected, your GA data will appear automatically inside Web Analytics — no manual setup required.

Instructions – Step by Step

  1. Log in to your Crazy Egg account.
  2. From the left-hand navigation, click Web Analytics.
  3. Click on the site picker (drop down in the purple bar)
  4. Click on Google Analytics Settings.
  5. Click continue.
  6. Choose the Google Account that has access to your Google Analytics properties.
  7. Allow permissions.
  8. Click save.

You’ll be redirected to Google to confirm permissions.
1. Choose the Google account that manages your GA4 properties.
2. Review the access request.
3. Click Allow to continue.

Congratulations!

Your Google Anaytlics data is now importing in. Please allow 5 to 10 minutes for the import (depending on the volume of data in your Google Analytics account).

View your data in Web Analytics

Once connected, your Google Analytics data will appear inside Crazy Egg Web Analytics automatically.

From here, you can:

Switching between properties

You can switch Google Analytics properties directly from the Sites dropdown at the top of the page. This makes it easy to compare different sites or environments without leaving Crazy Egg.

  • Don’t see your property?
    Make sure you have at least Viewer access in Google Analytics.
  • Need to change access later?
    You can manage or remove Google Analytics permissions from your Google Account at any time.
  • Want to add more properties?
    Revisit Google Analytics settings in Crazy Egg and enable additional properties.
