Do you have a great number of visitors from your own company visiting your web pages? Are you interested in excluding this traffic from the tracking to see what your guest visitors are truly doing on your site? Then Blocking IP Addresses is for you.
Options for entering IP addresses
You will want to enter the individual IP addresses you’d like excluded for a Single IP Address. This is the most commonly used method of entering IP addresses.
For Wildcard IP Address, you can exclude a range. This option is helpful if your IP addresses have some pattern but are not in consecutive order. You can enter the IP address and replace the section of the IP address that changes with an asterisk (*).
Example: 127.0.*.1
Range IP Address
Using the range option makes excluding a large set of IP addresses that are in consecutive order easy. This saves you the trouble of entering each IP address or adding multiple wildcard IP addresses.
Example: 127.0.0.1-127.0.1.1
